Meet Gonzalez Elementary's Art Teacher
Marivel Graham
Ms. G has worn many hats in her life. She has been a college student, gallery director at the University of Texas at Brownsville (UTB), which is now UTRGV, supervisor and art teacher for Kids College, Keynote Speaker at numerous art exhibitions, Teacher-Ranger-Teacher at Palo Alto National Park, Region One Juror for Jr. VASE/VASE, Region One Team Director, supporter of all Fine Arts, Cooperative Mentor teacher but what she enjoys most is being a mixed media artist and passionate art teacher for the Gonzalez Elementary students.
She has been an avid artist and promoter of the visual arts in the Brownsville, Harlingen, and McAllen community. She has collaborated in judging, creating art shows, and curated numerous art events in the Brownsville community.
Ms. G is always on the lookout for new art education trends, tools, and materials to use in her classroom. She looks forward each day to teach life skills used in art careers, and the importance of elements of art, art history, and techniques.
